A 1200 × 627 landscape image is a useful working size for a LinkedIn update. It gives a chart, announcement or product photo a predictable canvas.

For charts and screenshots, inspect thin lines and small labels after export. PNG may retain sharper edges than JPG, but compare its larger file size. Avoid squeezing an entire presentation slide into one tiny feed image.
