Carry transparent WebP artwork into a PNG workflow
A transparent logo or sticker saved as WebP may need PNG for another editor. This conversion decodes the source and stores the resulting pixels in a lossless PNG. Keep transparent padding enabled to retain its alpha channel; use Fit when a new canvas should include every edge.
Get a better result
A lossless export cannot repair blur or ringing already present in a lossy WebP. PNG may also be much larger, especially for photographs. Inspect the result on a checkerboard and compare sizes before replacing a web-optimized source with the new copy.
A quick workflow
- Choose a still WebP, preferably the highest-quality original available.
- Leave PNG and transparent padding selected; adjust the canvas only if needed.
- Process and inspect the transparent edges, then save the PNG.
