Bring a large photo below a one-megabyte ceiling
A one-megabyte maximum can be practical for a reasonably detailed web photograph, but it is not permission to ignore dimensions. This page presets 1,000KB, or 1,000,000 bytes. The quality search retains your chosen canvas and reports whether the exported JPG or WebP fits.
Get a better result
An image thousands of pixels wider than its destination can waste processing time and still look poor at low quality. Resize to a useful display size first when allowed. Keep a higher-resolution original for print, cropping and future exports.
A quick workflow
- Choose the original camera or design export.
- Review width and height, select a compatible output format and keep the 1,000KB target.
- Process and confirm the final byte count is at most 1,000,000 before uploading elsewhere.
